Hello! My name is Addison, and I’m a certified high school educator and former college professor with extensive experience teaching U.S. History and the Constitution, as well as Management. I hold a Master of Science in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Sport Management from Coastal Carolina University.
I currently teach Social Studies at Hampton County High School, where I’ve worked with students in grades 9–12 to build strong historical understanding and analytical skills. I am also an Assistant High School Football Coach (specializing in Outside Linebackers, Defensive Line, and Offensive Line). I have over 15 years of experience as a Football Official. My teaching background includes both classroom instruction, online teaching, and one-on-one tutoring, allowing me to adapt lessons to each student’s learning style and academic goals.
My approach emphasizes critical thinking, contextual understanding, and practical study strategies that help students gain confidence in their ability to connect historical events to broader themes. I believe that with the right structure and support, every student can succeed and even enjoy the process of learning history.
