Dear Student,

My academic qualifications are Bachelors, Masters and PhD, all in Math. I have taught elementary school, high school, college and graduate school. My teaching approach is to start at current level of the student and take him/her to the level needed to succeed and enjoy the school work. Some of the subjects that I have most commonly taught are elementary and intermediate algebra, finite mathematics, calculus I, II, III, differential equations, linear algebra, Mathematics for the trades. I have also tutored in abstract algebra and analysis.

Besides working with pencil and paper with the students I teach them to use the TI calculators and any software that they use in class. With other kind of calculator I will be happy to help the student to understand and apply the instructions. I am patient and adopt the students' point of view when working on a problem. I will use different approaches (graphical, numerical, and algebraic) to present the same concept.
Besides math, I work with Spanish too. Whether preparing for a test or trying to be more fluent, I help them to achieve their goals. I have a good knowledge of the English and the Spanish grammar. I have taught this subject for students interested in having a working knowledge of Spanish for business and for college students as well.

Finally, being so close to math and to language, logic has been one of my favorite subjects. At college level I have taught introductory logic. From my math studies I have used in proofs and in writing computer programs. I will be happy to help you through your introductory logic work.
