I'm Jesseca! I graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelors of Science in Biology and a Masters of Science in Biomedical Science from Wake Forest University. While in college I had the opportunity to serve as a peer academic coach and believe that every student can succeed when they have the right support and encouragement. I strive to provide students with skills and tips that I wish I had early on while preparing for some of the challenges that we all must face through our academic endeavors.
I currently work as a full-time Natural Science Instructor for a technical college, where I teach college-level Biology, Anatomy & Physiology courses. My teaching experiences includes general biology topics and study strategies for some of the most difficult concepts. I have worked with various students with different educational backgrounds and understand the importance of meeting them where they are in content knowledge. My goal is to breakdown the material in clear terms while fostering critical thinking skills beyond a classroom setting.
Whether you are preparing for an exam, trying to improve study strategies, learning a new concept or simply wanting to get ahead, I am committed to helping you reach your goals! I look forward to working with you in building confidence and a love for science!
