I have spent the past 18 years teaching high school mathematics in public schools, private schools, and homeschool settings. I also worked for a tutoring center for many years. I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Mathematics and my secondary teaching certificate and went directly into teaching high school math. I won First Year Teacher of the Year in the beginning of my career and I believe it’s because I value student connection. I truly love teaching and engaging with students, and I enjoy helping them see that math can be both understandable and fun. I have experience teaching all levels of high school math, from Pre-Algebra through AP Calculus, and I love helping students build confidence as they develop strong problem-solving skills. I have also tutored extensively in Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, SAT and ACT math.
In addition to teaching, I have coached swim and enjoyed encouraging students both in and out of the classroom. My goal is always to make math accessible, engaging, and even enjoyable for every student.
I have been married for 19 years and am the mom of three kids. When I’m not teaching math, I enjoy traveling, going to the beach, reading, drinking good coffee, and making the occasional stop at Chick-fil-A.
