Anyone and everyone can learn Chemistry. As a new chemistry instructor currently teaching students in a chemistry lab at a University, I have a large amount of passion and knowledge for the subject. I have a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with an emphasis in Physics and Health Sciences.
My journey in Chemistry education began with working as a research assistant in a major manufacturing facility which is where my love of Chemistry grew. Now, I am privileged to teach students aged 14 to 22, providing them with resources and assignments related to their lecture material, homework, and exam topics.
My teaching approach is student-focused where I like to understand their struggles and to provide a brief remedial session of foundational concepts related to the topic of interest. This helps me to assess the root issue of their misunderstandings and allows me to ensure that they leave with the proper tools and knowledge to excel in all assignments, to understand where they may have gone wrong previously, and to conduct lab experiments with the course material in mind. I have experience teaching in larger classrooms, but my current setting involves engaging with approximately 21 students at a time in a laboratory classroom. I am skilled in teaching Chemistry 1, Chemistry 2, Biochemistry, and Biology, and I am dedicated to making learning Chemistry a rewarding and knowledgeable experience for all of my students.
