Southern Wesleyan University, Central SC (Exercise Science)
In addition to 10 years experience as a business owner and trainer for special populations and athletes, I also work as an adjunct in an undergraduate Exercise Science program. My teaching duties include ACSM's personal training certification as well as supervising seniors in the undergraduate program with client assessment and program design.
I feel teaching is a way to blend theory from text books with application gleaned from experience and potentially open up the fulfilling world of personal training to perspective trainer.
I have ACE certification, Functional Movement certification, life experience, and a diverse client population, ranging from athletes recovering from injury to seniors.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
My work as an adjunct in an undergraduate Exercise Science program has opened up the joy of teaching to me, which is enhanced by application of my experience as a personal trainer. Taking the job and my client outcomes to the classroom allows application of textbook theory to real life situations and enhance the student's educational outcome.
