Hello! My name is Ms Pam, and I'm very excited to be your tutor! I am a former science teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience. During those years I have tutored several children thru home bound and after school services. I continue to volunteer at my local church as assistant site coordinator of Wise Readers serving pre and elementary students.
I use a tutoring module that includes visual, audio, and hands-on learning. I assess the needs of the child and base learning activities that compliment his/her best learning style. I also like to supplement lessons with fun activities that are educational. Usually, reading a favorite book is one favorite children like to conclude at the end of the tutorial lesson. I like to call it a "wind-down" activity that relaxes the children and incorporates learning. Children like to be shown that they are cared for. This is something I do with every child I educate. I show genuine concern and care for the child. And the child feels it as well.
I prefer working with elementary aged children pre-school to 6th grade. I look forward to tutoring you all! Have a wonderful day!
