In addition to my academic background, I have research experience and serve in leadership roles within student organizations, including being vice president of the student AVMA chapter and president-elect of the internal medicine club.
My teaching and mentoring experience comes from both formal and informal settings. I have experience helping peers and younger students understand challenging science concepts through one-on-one support, collaborative study sessions, and mentorship-style guidance. My teaching approach focuses on breaking complex topics into manageable, understandable pieces while adapting explanations to each student’s learning style. I prioritize patience, encouragement, and active engagement so students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence in the material.
I have also volunteered with both children and elderly individuals, which helped me develop strong interpersonal and communication skills across a wide range of ages and learning needs.
