Hi! I’m a Clemson University mechanical engineering graduate and Engineer in Training (EIT) working full-time as an engineer here in Greenville. I tutor middle and high school students in math and physics and focus on helping them truly understand the material rather than memorizing steps. My goal is to build confidence, improve grades, and make these subjects feel manageable. Because I use math and physics every day in my career, I’m able to explain concepts in a practical, clear way that clicks for students. Also, I love math, and teaching is a passion of mine, which is why I’m interested in tutoring! On the SAT math section, I scored a 790 which was something I was very proud of.
I helped tutor a lot of friends and colleagues during my time at Clemson University. I find the best way to really teach someone is by doing practice problems together and explaining the respective concepts along the way. I learn best from examples, and I find them so valuable in math and physics. Since graduating, I spent about three months studying daily for the FE Exam for my EIT. Throughout that, I did a lot of tutoring with a co-worker who was also studying for it. Working with the younger generation will be new for me, but I’m confident that I can help your son or daughter regardless of age or subject.
