I possess a Master of Exercise Science degree, and I love making anatomy and physiology meaningful and impactful for students. As an undergraduate and graduate student, I was involved with multiple exercise physiology labs and have multiple publications relating to human health, exercise performance and sports nutrition. I have learned anatomy and physiology alongside my peers and have experience teaching students the essentials of anatomy and physiology. In graduate school, I served as a graduate teaching assistant for human anatomy and physiology at the college level. I graded assignments and conducted lectures and laboratory sessions related to human anatomy.
As a tutor, I enjoy teaching students who want to develop a deeper understanding of the human body and its functions. Every student is different, and I like to meet each student at their current level of understanding and build a strong foundation before advancing to more difficult concepts and topics. As a tutor, in the first session, I like to set long-term goals and develop a plan so we can track progress and keep sessions structured and directed while working towards your educational goals.
I have ADHD, a learning-processing disorder, and have used accommodations during my academic career so I am very comfortable working with students of all skills and abilities. I understand how difficult learning can be and can share strategies and techniques that helped me master the material.
Feel free to reach out and schedule a session with me. I cannot wait to help you reach your educational goals!
