I hold degrees in Culinary Arts, Baking & Pastry, and Accounting, which provide me with a solid foundation in both the culinary and financial worlds. My career spans over 35 years in the Hospitality Industry, where I have honed my expertise in various cooking techniques, menu planning, and kitchen management. Additionally, I served as a High School Culinary Teacher at a career center in Greenwood, SC, where I had the privilege of teaching students aged 14-18.

As an educator, I understand that each student learns differently. I am well-versed in adapting my teaching methods to cater to individual learning styles, whether through hands-on activities, verbal explanations, or visual aids. My approach to tutoring is rooted in patience, clarity, and a commitment to ensuring that every student grasps the concepts being taught. Whether you’re looking to master a specific culinary skill, such as Italian cooking or breakfast specialties, or need guidance on baking principles like calculating baker’s percentages, I’m here to help.

In addition to my culinary background, I recently completed my degree in Accounting and am proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. This blend of culinary and accounting expertise allows me to offer unique insights into both kitchen management and financial literacy. I have also been a proctor for the Serv Safe Managers Certification, further underscoring my dedication to food safety and industry standards.

I was a high school culinary arts teacher for 2 years at a career center. I had students place 1st in the cooking and pastry division of Skills USA in 2016. I have also worked in restaurants for over 35 years as an Executive Chef as well as other positions. My greatest skill was training new staff on how to cook and execute a variety of dishes.
