I am a Master of Business Administration (banking and finance) graduate with a GPA of 3.79 from the University of the West Indies. I also hold a degree in Bachelor of Science, Accounting Special with a GPA of 3.74 from the same university. I am also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 2010 and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) since 2011. Despite my highs as a business startup consultant, business planner, and accountant, I have always had a passion for teaching and mentoring. I use my knowledge and experience whenever tutoring students by breaking down complex concepts into simple material that can be easily comprehended. My central goal is to impart knowledge to students, enable them to improve their grades, and make our learning experience enjoyable and memorable.

My teaching methods can be adjusted based on the needs of the student because I understand that some learners are quick whereas others like me need a little more time to follow a concept. Patience is my golden virtue in the learning process as I encourage my students to freely interrupt the learning session whenever they can so that we can have a concept clarified, repeated, or emphasized. Where necessary, I can provide additional examples to deepen the impression and improve the student’s grasp of a concept. I am very flexible in scheduling and agile with the usage of various communication and learning mediums.

I have 9+ years of experience mostly tutoring college students in accounting, finance, writing, research methods, and other business-related fields. The oldest student I have tutored was a 69-year-old retiree returning for his Master’s degree in business management. I have also had a few special needs students including an epileptic student and a few with test anxiety. Most recently, I have also had a few teenage students elementary and high school students in need of math and science help. My preferred tutoring style is one on one because it enables me to attend to the specific needs of a student.
