Hi! My name is Nicole B, and I am a dedicated Special Education teacher with a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Lander University. I have extensive experience working with students from kindergarten through high school, including learners with diverse academic and learning needs.
I began my teaching career as a K–12 special educator at a private school in West Columbia, where I taught for four years. After that, I spent two years at a charter school in Columbia that specialized in supporting students with dyslexia. I am currently in my second year at an Early Childhood Center (ECC), where I continue to support students through individualized, engaging, and student-centered instruction.
As a tutor, I focus on building confidence, breaking learning down into manageable steps, and meeting each student where they are. I believe learning should feel supportive, structured, and encouraging.
Outside of teaching, I’m a proud mom to an 18-year-old son and an 11-year-old daughter. Our family also includes two dogs, a turtle, and a guinea pig. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors—especially at the beach or in the mountains.
I look forward to supporting students and helping them grow both academically and personally.
