My name is Casey. I am a passionate educator that believes that learning can and should happen everywhere. I am a certified teacher who has taught in traditional classrooms, after school programs, co-ops, tutoring, intervention programs, coaching, homeschool, gifted programs, substitute teaching, and online for more than 20 years. I enjoy teaching one-on-one as much as I do in a small group or in a classroom setting.

I know that every student has unique needs. As their teacher, my job and goal is to meet those needs as I engage them in the material and prepare them for a life full of learning. After teaching students from all walks of life, I have a plethora of tools to utilize as I impact the students I teach. Classroom teaching has prepared me for the multi-tasking required for effective teaching as each group of students has their own challenges and dynamics. When teaching speakers of languages other than English, the unifying effort of learning builds a strong bond among the differences. My experience teaching students from other countries instilled an appreciation of the richness of each culture as well as the influence of that culture in the students' education. Meeting the often overlooked populations in education drives me to accept the challenging teaching opportunities. As the parent of a 2E student who required a homeschool education because of profound giftedness accompanied by autism, I have been prepared for special education classrooms and gifted programs alike. My experiences have benefited my son as much as they have benefited any of my other students.

I love to bring learning to life for my students. Engaging lessons that appeal to each learning style and interest allow students to enjoy the process and encourage them to develop into life-long learners. I look forward to supporting you in the education journey you are on! Please contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson.
