Bio

My experience in the financial industry spans a period of over 30 years including positions in sales, management and training. I have taken and passed (on the first try) the Series 3, 6, 7, 24, 53, 63 and 65. Throughout my career I have provided extensive training and tutoring on the SIE, Series 6, 7, 9, 10, 24, 63, 65 and 66. Helping students succeed is very rewarding and gratifying. I am always excited when students inform me that they passed an exam.

My teaching style involves active engagement and participation from students. I want students to thoroughly understand the concepts and not just memorize material. Also, I utilize active listening to ensure student’s comprehension of the material and any questions are promptly addressed. I have spent 10 plus years in a corporate training capacity, assisting hundreds of employees with passing the SIE, Series 6, 7 63 and 66. For the last few years in positions at Kaplan and Pass Perfect I have helped thousands of students pass multiple exams including the SIE, Series 6, 7, 9, 10, 24, 63, 65 and 66. I bring real world experience along with strong knowledge of FINRA, MSRB and SEC Regulations. Series 6

Series 6

During several positions at various different mutual fund companies I assisted hundreds of employees with the Series 6 exam. Well over 90% passed on their first attempt. I have extensive knowledge of the material. Also, my decades of experience in the financial industry provides valuable real world experience.
Series 63

Series 63

I’ve held several positions where I assisted hundreds of employees pass not only the Series 6 but also the Series 63. My thorough understanding of both state and federal securities laws helps me to be a great resource for students. Knowledge of what the regulators are asking and how to distinguish between the various rules and regulations provides a strong foundation for my tutoring program.
Series 65

Series 65

During my career, I have worked at both the SEC and state-licensed Investment Advisers. I have assisted many employees with the Series 65 exam. Also, I took the exam and passed on my first attempt. My deep understanding of the Uniform Securities Act, the Investment Adviser Act of 1940, the Securities Act of 1933 and 1934 as well as other regulations provides a strong base of knowledge. I have first hand experience completing the Form ADV and keep abreast of the changing regulatory environment.
Series 66

Series 66

In addition to assisting many students with the Series 63 and 65 I have also taught dozens of classes and tutored hundreds of students on the Series 66. I have an extensive background on the rules and regulations covered on this exam. My lesson plans provide a strong framework to assist students with the differences between investment advisers, broker/dealers and state versus federal regulations.

Great Tutor

I highly recommend Mark to anyone preparing for the Series 65 exam. After not passing on my first attempt, I worked with him to identify my weak areas, improve my understanding of the material, and develop a much better test-taking strategy. Mark is an excellent tutor. He’s really great at explaining the material to you. He provides lots of examples and notes. He will go through each chapter and at the end of each session, he provides a variety of quiz questions to go over with you to make sure you understand the material that was just discussed.
