I am a certified educator with a Master’s degree in Education and over ten years of teaching experience in both middle and high school settings. I am certified in English Language Arts and Social Studies in South Carolina, and I currently teach high school courses in a virtual learning environment. Throughout my career, I have worked with a wide range of learners, including students in Title I schools and alternative education programs, which has strengthened my ability to adapt instruction and support students with different academic needs.

My experience includes both classroom teaching and one-on-one support, where I focus on helping students build understanding, not just memorize information. I have taught subjects such as World History, U.S. History, and English, and I regularly help students improve reading comprehension, writing skills, and critical thinking. I use a structured, step-by-step approach to break down complex topics, and I incorporate strategies like guided questioning, real-world connections, and visual supports to keep students engaged and confident.

When I tutor, I begin by identifying where a student is struggling and then tailor my instruction to meet their needs. I work with students in grades 6 through 12 and focus on building both skills and confidence. I believe students learn best when they feel supported, so I create a positive and encouraging environment while still holding them accountable for their progress. My goal is to help students not only improve academically, but also develop the independence and confidence they need to succeed long-term.
