I have 1,000+ hrs of experience developing clear explanations to problems in a step-by-step process. I've helped international students with a language barrier score A's and B's in chemistry! Most of my international clients become fluent in diverse chem topics in just a few months! In Fall 2021, an international client taught resonance to her biochemistry tutor after working with me using my sample problems. I have achieved these results by being patient and flexible adjusting my explanations and approach to accommodate each student's unique learning style.

Algebra 1

Algebra 1 is one of my favorite subjects. I have always excelled at manipulating equations and solving for variables. Since my first encounter with Algebra 1 in 9th grade, I have over five years experience with fundamentals and problem-solving techniques. Overall, mathematics is my strongest subject and combined with my six year tutoring background, I am confident that students can demonstrate dramatic improvement on standardized tests and quizzes.

Earning a B.S. degree in chemistry has exposed me to a wide-range of chemistry courses. I especially have experience with ideal gas law, atomic structure such as orbitals, equilibrium reactions, bonding, acids & bases, and electrochemistry. My focus is making sure students understand the concepts well enough to be confident and self-proficient after tutor sessions.

I have been teaching organic chemistry full-time with a M.S. in chemistry since 2019. I have taught 15 students how to understand a few concepts that can be applied repeatedly to ace organic chemistry! During my undergraduate career, I scored in the 95th percentile on the ACS final and began tutoring organic later that year in 2011. I received an A in organic 2 and soon realized what I wanted to with my life! Organic chemistry is not a memorization course as many are led to believe. I can give you the tools to break away from un-productive studying to become an expert!

Reading comprehension is an important skill for every student regardless of their field of study or interests. As a chemist for example, I spend months on certain occasions writing abstracts and research reports which requires me to read perplexing articles from professional chemists. Since then, I have been accepted to conferences, scored well on reading tests and continuously apply this useful skill in my research.
