I am a Pharmacist with 30 years of experience in both Hospital and Retail environments.
I have been teaching Pharmacy Technicians for about 13 years. I have developed Pharmacy Technician programs, taught in existing programs, tutored individual students both in the classroom and online. The demographics of the students that I have taught are High School (17 and 18 year old), Young Adults (over 18 but younger than 25), Older Adults (40 + year old). Throughout my career, I have taught in Career Schools, Colleges, Non Profit Organizations and even High School programs.
Possessing an adaptable teaching style is my signature. I meet the student where he or she is and build on that. I believe in giving homework assignments and due dates as these things reinforce what goes on during the tutoring session. Overall, I am friendly and approachable at the same time focused and goal oriented.
Some of my students desire to be a Pharmacy Technician for their whole career. Some of my students see Pharmacy Tech as a gateway career to other disciplines in medicine. For some of my students, this would be their first career and others are embarking on a new career.
My favorite thing to teach is math. however, I love Medical Terminology as well! I have developed my signature style of delivering challenging concepts to my students in a way that they can understand, absorb and emulate. I give my students test taking strategies as well.
I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in the field of Pharmacy from Long Island University in NYC.
