I am Chemistry professor. I had taught thermodynamics, control process, design engineering, and chemistry classes. I work in mathematical modeling of complex systems by solving differential equations numerically. I would love to share my expertise and help people to achieve their goals.

I am Chemistry professor. I had taught thermodynamics, control process, design engineering, and chemistry classes. I work in mathematical modeling of complex systems by solving differential equations numerically. I would love to share my expertise and help people to achieve their goals.

The classes I had taught cover from high school chemistry, in my home country, from undergraduate level. My approach had been to make a short introduction to the topic, work and sample exercises and then, leave the student time to solve and ask questions. I really like to work to people to overcome the understanding of the problem by making step-by-step questions and then, let them to achieve the answer.

I hope my learning experience will give my students the insight into the methodologies I have found better to approach difficult problems!

Calculus, Differential Equations, Numerical Methods. Most of chemical engineering problems involve ordinary and partial differential equations. As part of our training as engineers, we learned analytical and numerical methods to solve these particular equations.

My areas of expertise include chemistry, through many years of learning and applying my knowledge to chemistry related process. Thermodynamics, catalysis and electrochemistry are my strong areas.

I am a native speaker, born and raised in Colombia, South America. Language is one of my passions, I love to read and I have a blog in Spanish. As international student, I know the struggles of learning and understanding a new language. I volunteer, for 2 years, to lead the Spanish table at the International House at the University of Tennessee.

I believe every teaching experience is also a learning experience for the tutor. I encourage students and parents to provide any material they consider important to cover. I am easy to reach and will provide fast responses! Feel free to contact me with any further questions and I hope to start this learning experience together!

Knowledgeable tutor for Graduate Thermodynamics Materials!

Thank you Diana so much for helping me understand Legendre Transformations better! I was stunned when Diana already had my textbook and had worked out some of my problems (and had accompanying research) when we were going through everything. Diana really came prepared to my lesson and we were able to get through information efficiently.

Good Tutor

She goes over content really well and explains the steps/ procedures to solve the problem. I would definitely ask her to tutor again.

Great tutor

Thank you Diana for the help! This is a tuff class and my daughter needs all the help she can get. It has been a struggle to find someone that knows thermodynamics and can explain it in a way that is understood

Knowledgeable and Provided a lot of help

I liked how Dana was able to show me how and where to apply Maxwell relations. She also provided me with the notes of what we had discussed which helped a lot.

Knowledgeable & patient tutor

Diana taught my son high school chemistry. He enjoyed her teaching & he was able to ask her many questions. The one on one time is priceless! He was able to get his questions answered and they went over all of the things required for the test by the chemistry teacher. I think he'll have the confidence he will need to do well!
