I am ready to tutor any & all students that are interested in expanding their horizons and exploring new ideas and concepts with goal of mastering any subject of interest.

I am 64 years old with B.S. degrees in Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering. I am now semi-retired and have the time to share my learning and experience with you. My specialty and main interests lie in mathematics but my background in engineering allows me to share my knowledge of the sciences with you also.

I am 64 years old with B.S. degrees in Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering. I am now semi-retired and have the time to share my learning and experience with you. My specialty and main interests lie in mathematics but my background in engineering allows me to share my knowledge of the sciences with you also.

My best skills are in Algebra, Calculus, Differential Equations, & Physics. I can travel and enjoy meeting new people. I obtain satisfaction when students master the subject matter and their grades improve steadily. Math is a subject that some students find mystifying but with an understanding of the subject concepts, a student can move up and be proud of their accomplishments.

Results are obtained with a dedication from both the student and the tutor. My philosophy is to learn through real world examples and repetition is a part of that philosophy. Each learning session will proceed at the pace that is best for the student and/or the parent and homework for the student and myself is essential to streamlining the sessions so that little time is wasted. I will confer with the student, parent & teacher if necessary to provide the needed direction at all times. So, if you are ready and interested in a whole new learning experience, I am at your service.

I have taken 4 advanced calculus courses and similar subjects including Transforms (including Laplace Transforms), Fourier Series solutions to differential equations. I have also recently viewed lectures in the perturbation method of solving ordinary differential equations. Also, any ordinary differential equation (that has a solution) has a series solution in the Taylor's series format.

I have taken courses in Calculus I, II, III, IV, Advanced Calculus, Complex Variables, Transforms, Analytic Geometry & Differential Equations. In order to practice these math skills, I have a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering as well. Trigonometry was taken in high school. I have taken a number of online practice tests for the Praxis math section... some take more time than others but the questions are not too complex for my background.
