From an early age, I knew that science would be in my future, and in high school I realized that chemistry would be my focus. I took every opportunity to immerse myself in science and math during my high school years. During my college years, I spent my summers working for a local textile company performing chemical research. After graduation, I thought I would be doing the same thing until a former high school teacher called me about a job opening. I haven't looked back since. 9 years later, I still love what I'm doing on a daily basis. Outside of teaching high school chemistry, I have also been a physical science and a physics teacher, and have tutored many students in all of the above as well as different levels of math. My ideal student isn't one that necessarily makes straight A's, but rather one that will work their hardest at every endeavor. I simply want to be there to support them and to help them to achieve the best that they can.

I am a teacher during the day, so I am available for tutoring in the afternoon/evenings as well as on the weekends. I understand that circumstances can change from day to day, so I offer a 6-hour cancellation policy, but I am flexible with rescheduling makeup sessions.

Math is an essential component in my curriculum (chemistry and physics), and I aim to inspire students to have the same passion and comfort for math that I do.

I have taught chemistry for the last 10 years, both honors and general chemistry, and am also AP-certified. From my sophomore days in high school, I have always had a passion for chemistry.
