I am a Registered Nurse with a BSN, a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and current experience as college nursing faculty. I actively teach PN and RN-level nursing students and am very familiar with how nursing courses, discussion boards, written assignments, and exams are structured in both online and in-person programs. I understand what instructors are looking for and how students are evaluated.
I specialize in targeted nursing academic support, including homework clarification, discussion post development, exam preparation, and concept reinforcement. I focus on helping students break down complex topics such as pharmacology, medical-surgical nursing, fundamentals, and behavioral health into clear, manageable concepts that support both coursework and exam success.
One of my strongest areas is ATI remediation. When students come to me after a failed ATI exam, I ask them to share their ATI Individual Performance Profile so I can identify specific content gaps, test-taking errors, and clinical reasoning weaknesses. I then build a customized tutoring plan based directly on that report rather than using generic review methods. Historically, students who have worked with me using this structured, report-driven approach and who consistently apply the strategies we review have gone on to successfully pass their ATI retake. My focus is on understanding how ATI prioritizes content, phrases questions, and evaluates decision-making.
I also provide support for NCLEX-PN and NCLEX-RN preparation, including question analysis, prioritization strategies, and confidence-building test-taking techniques. My approach emphasizes how to think through questions, not just memorizing information.
If you are looking for an experienced RN and nursing faculty member who understands both the academic expectations and real-world application of nursing education, I would be glad to help.
Available for evenings and weekends. Sessions may focus on coursework support, discussion posts, ATI remediation, or NCLEX preparation.
