I hold Dyslexia Certification from the University of Florida and am trained in the Orton-Gillingham method at the Associate level. With a passion for helping students overcome reading difficulties, I hold a Master of Education in Montessori education with over 25 years of teaching experience. I am currently pursuing an Educational Specialist degree in Special Education from the University of Florida. I will be sitting for the Keepri exam to earn my certification as a Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist (C-SLDI) in December 2025. My expertise and dedication make a meaningful difference in the lives of students struggling with reading and Dyslexia.

I have extensive experience working with students with dyslexia, providing explicit, systematic, and multisensory instruction grounded in the principles of structured literacy. I am trained in the Orton-Gillingham approach at the Associate level through the Orton-Gillingham Academy (OGA), which has equipped me to deliver individualized, diagnostic, and prescriptive lessons tailored to each learner’s needs. In addition, I hold a Graduate-Level Dyslexia Certification from the University of Florida, where I gained advanced expertise in assessment, intervention design, and evidence-based reading instruction for students with specific learning disabilities in reading. This combination of training and practice enables me to help struggling readers develop stronger phonological awareness, decoding, fluency, and spelling skills through explicit, structured, and engaging instruction.
