Hi, I'm Ethan; thanks for stopping by!
As a recent college graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Environmental Science & Policy, I bring both academic knowledge and real-world experience to the table. I currently work for the Department of Environmental Services, where I apply scientific concepts daily; adding depth and relevance to the way I teach. I graduated from Clemson University as cum laude, served as Vice President of the Biological Sciences Honor Society, and was recognized as an AP Scholar with Distinction in high school after passing 12 AP exams. This background gives me a strong understanding of both advanced science and math subjects, as well as firsthand familiarity with College Board material and standardized testing strategies.
In addition to my academic background, I've spent years working with students of all ages as a youth basketball coach, which taught me how to connect, motivate, and encourage growth in young learners. I also served as a student leader in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), where I developed strong communication and mentorship skills rooted in integrity and compassion. My faith is a central part of who I am and how I lead, though I always respect and honor the beliefs of others; I'm here to support every student, regardless of background. My tutoring approach is highly individualized; I take time to understand each students unique learning style, areas of strength, and specific goals. I believe that great teaching goes beyond the material: its about building confidence, creating clarity, and making learning feel personal and engaging. My interdisciplinary mindset allows me to draw connections between subjects, helping students see the bigger picture. Whether you need support in high school-level math and sciences, foundational English and history, or help preparing for major exams, I'm committed to helping you learn in a way that makes sense for you.
I look forward to supporting your academic journey!
