I am an experienced elementary educator and instructional leader with over 15 years of experience supporting students and teachers in mathematics instruction. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, a Master’s degree in Elementary Education and am currently pursuing my PhD in Teaching and Learning. Throughout my career, I have worked with students ranging from early elementary through middle school in both classroom and small-group settings. My experience includes classroom teaching, instructional coaching, and one-on-one tutoring. I am passionate about helping students build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and develop a genuine understanding of math concepts rather than simply memorizing procedures.
My tutoring approach is centered around meeting students where they are academically and emotionally. I believe EVERY child CAN learn with the right support, encouragement, and instructional strategies. I use a combination of direct instruction, hands-on practice, visual models, and guided questioning to help students think critically and develop problem-solving skills. I also work to make learning engaging and encouraging so students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. For younger learners, I incorporate interactive activities and fluency practice to build foundational skills in a fun and supportive way.
In addition to my classroom and leadership experience, I regularly support teachers with instructional planning and student intervention strategies, which allows me to stay current on best practices and curriculum expectations. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them become more confident, independent learners who believe in their ability to succeed.
