Hello! I'm Stevi, a special education teacher of 14 years. I received my Masters of Special Education from National Louis University and have had the pleasure of teaching grades K-8 in both Illinois and South Carolina. I am a results driven educator who cultivates a culture of acceptance, rigor, and celebration within sessions. I specialize in collecting fastidious data to identify educational gaps and levers for students in order to create differentiated lessons that target skills to maximize growth. I engage students in bolstering their confidence and ensure that all students feel seen, heard, and celebrated. I want to empower parents to become integral and knowledgeable members of their child's team.

I am currently taking a year away from teaching to care for my brand new daughter! As a teacher, I was always trying to find time in my day to squeeze in additional practice of key skills to increase student growth. In my current role as a tutor, I can now provide your child with the extra intervention time they need to make significant gains.

Your child will receive more than "homework help" in our sessions. In order to maximize your child's growth, you will receive the following: analysis of current academic data, an action plan based on current data or student IEP goals with a copy provided to you to reference throughout our time together, and individualized interventions and lessons planned just for your child to address current deficits and goals. Throughout our work together, I will complete progress monitoring to track intervention success and your student's progress.
