Hello! My name is Susie, and I'm excited to be your tutor in all things English! I'm currently a student at Clemson University, with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Political and Legal Theory. Hello! My name is Susie, and I'm excited to be your tutor in all things English! I'm currently a student at Clemson University, with a major in Criminal Justice and a minor in Political and Legal Theory. Because of this, I have experience in a wide range of essay styles and requirements. But just because I'm not an English major doesn't mean I don't absolutely love the subject.
I've been helping students with their essays and reading comprehension since I was a sophomore in high school. I love making reading accessible for students who struggle with it. Even more, I love reading student's thoughts and helping them express themselves in their writing.
Since middle school, I've been passionate about reading and writing. In high school I became a teaching assistant for my favorite English teacher, and helped her class through discussions and large essay assignments. I was also a tutor in our school's Writing Center for 3 years, where we would help students during our lunch hours with their class work. Throughout my freshman year of college, I tutored over 15 of my friends from high school who were younger than me with their college essays and test prep, after scoring a 35 on the ACT writing section with a 32 overall.
I would love to get to know you! I'm so glad I have the opportunity to help students with a subject I have so much fun exploring.
