Hi, I’m a certified teacher with 10 years of classroom experience in both special education and general education ELA. I now focus on helping students who struggle with reading and writing.

I’ve worked with a wide range of learners, including students with dyslexia, ESL students, and those who need extra support to build foundational skills. I also have experience supporting students with behavioral and emotional needs, and I tend to connect well with learners who may feel frustrated or reluctant.

I have experience using structured literacy approaches, including programs like Reading by Design, and I focus on helping students strengthen phonics, decoding, fluency, and comprehension.

In our sessions, I break skills down step by step and make sure students actually understand what they’re doing—not just guess their way through reading. I adjust my approach based on each student’s needs, whether that means more support with vocabulary, attention, or foundational reading skills.

My goal is not just to help students improve academically, but also to build their confidence. I focus on creating a space where students can make real progress without feeling overwhelmed.

If your child is struggling with reading, writing, or language, I’d be glad to help.
