Tutoring is very rewarding because so much can be accomplished because I'm working one on one. It's rewarding to see a student turn a corner when he/she was struggling before with a concept. I love seeing the smile of a student too when positive reinforcement is given.
I love explaining math concepts clearly, concisely and slowly. I use visuals and hands-on materials, and games so that students can grasp the objective. Once I know how a student learns, I am better able to teach him/her the concepts of math.
