Because of my unique background in Applied Mathematics and Economics, I put a particular emphasis on relevant applications of mathematical concepts. I tutored even before I became a teacher; word just circulated that if someone's child needed extra help in math that I could help make a difference.
Additionally, I have tutored and will tutor students in elementary and middle school: after all, students need a strong foundation! I can offer just that as I know the progression of the mathematics and can prepare students for ensuing levels of mathematics. I have worked with students as young as 8 years old struggling with the standard algorithm for addition and subtraction and as old as college students who needed extra help with Calculus or Probability & Statistics.
