Hello! My name is Grace, and I am a passionate and energetic science educator with 8–9 years of experience teaching AP Biology, Biology, and Anatomy & Physiology at the high school level. My tutoring approach is centered around making science engaging, interactive, and approachable because I believe students learn best when they feel actively involved and supported in the learning process. I love helping students break down complex biology concepts into understandable, real-world examples through hands-on learning, visuals, discussion, and guided practice that build both understanding and confidence. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching for me is seeing students realize they are capable of succeeding in subjects they once found difficult or overwhelming.
I have extensive experience tutoring and preparing students for Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, and the AP Biology exam. This includes reviewing course content, practicing exam-style questions, strengthening scientific reasoning skills, and helping students develop effective study strategies. I work with both my own students and outside students seeking extra support, enrichment, or exam preparation, and I tailor sessions to fit each student’s learning style and goals.
In addition to classroom teaching, I also work as a zoo educator, where I teach environmental science, animal science, conservation, and ecology through exciting real-world experiences that help bring science to life. I especially enjoy teaching Anatomy & Physiology and helping students understand how the human body works in ways that connect to everyday life and health.
I strive to create a positive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, staying curious, and growing academically. I also value feedback from both students and parents and am quick to respond to messages so families always feel supported throughout the learning process. I can’t wait to meet you and help you along your academic journey!
