I have devoted my life to teaching, because I love helping students build upon their skills throughout a class and seeing their "A-HA" moments. I think it is important for students and teachers to communicate with one another about what works well for them and their learning styles. I aim to individualize instruction to my students' learning styles and incorporate real-world examples to make the topic feel more relatable. As someone who wasn't naturally gifted in math, I know what it means to work hard and struggle to understand the material. I've managed to overcome these obstacles, but I think they've given me the empathy and patience to help others learn how to succeed in their math courses.
