About Marian

Dear Potential Students,

I am a certified teacher who has experience at the elementary, high school, and college level. I have earned two masters degrees in counseling and teaching and my undergraduate degree is in English/Secondary Education. Currently, I teach at a local college and also work as an academic advisor.

Please know that not only am I an educator, but a parent. I look at my students in two ways, i.e., as an educator as well as a mother. I treat my students the way that I would want a teacher to treat one of my children. Therefore, I certainly have a great deal of patience with my students and take my teaching very seriously.

I look forward to working with you!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
