About Aneece

Bio

I studied physics at Columbia University, and earned a BS in pure mathematics at URI. I am currently working towards a mathematics PhD. As a graduate student, I've taught online courses in applied calculus, and been an in class instructor for college algebra. I have over 15 years experience tutoring both high school and college level mathematics, physics, and chemistry, as well as working with junior college students considered to be at high risk of academic failure. As a graduate student, I've taught online courses in applied calculus, and been an in class instructor for college algebra. I have over 15 years experience tutoring both high school and college level mathematics, physics, and chemistry, as well as working with junior college students considered to be at high risk of academic failure. Thus I am comfortable with students at all levels of confidence and ability. I scored a 1600 on the SAT, and can remove the anguish and uncertainty of SAT prep.

I can meet any student at their specific level of understanding, and give them the space and security they need to work their own way out of confusion, and build confidence in themselves as problem solvers and learners. It’s incredibly satisfying to help other students begin the same journey of understanding that has been one of the central joys of my life.

I've helped numerous students identify where there was a breakdown in their understanding, and allowed them to both succeed in their classwork, and continue on to more advanced topics with confidence.

Experienced and strong communicator
