My passion for teaching stems from my own rigorous academic journey. As a neuroscience graduate and a Physician Assistant student in my clinical year, I have spent years mastering complex scientific concepts. Reaching this point has taken immense dedication, and I know firsthand how overwhelming subjects like biology, anatomy, and physiology can feel. As a student with dyslexia, I learned early on that I would have to approach academics in a creative and adaptable way. This experience allows me to help all students succeed in what often feels like a “one-size-fits-all” educational system.

Over the last several years, I have been deeply committed to mentoring younger learners. I actively tutor middle school students in Algebra, English, and Science, providing weekly support with homework, building foundational math skills, and helping them structure their essays. These experiences have grounded my tutoring style in patience and consistency—a framework I developed during my long-term volunteer work as a mentor for Big Brother Big Sister in Boston. Whether I am helping a middle schooler finally grasp algebraic variables or a college student prep for their anatomy exam, my primary goal is to foster academic confidence and independent problem-solving skills.

I also bring a robust writing background to my tutoring sessions. As a contributing medical writer, I regularly translate dense clinical information into clear, accessible articles for patients and families. This unique skill set allows me to help students effectively organize their thoughts, refine their grammar, and elevate their analytical writing. Whether we are tackling a challenging math problem, reviewing human physiology, or drafting a polished English paper, I tailor my teaching style to meet each student exactly where they are. Let’s work together to reach your academic goals!

Neuroscience

As a neuroscience graduate and second-year physician assistant student, I have not only a deep passion for, but also in-depth experience in the neuroscience field. Between my research work, my undergraduate studies, and my experience as a PA student, I have continued to deepen my understanding of the complex and integral role the nervous system plays in connecting the body and mind. I am dedicated to helping students build a lasting passion for this challenging and fascinating field.
