In my six years as a music theory educator, I have honed my ability to help students to achieve their learning goals. My approach emphasizes collaboration, communication, and autonomy, helping students build confidence in music theory and analysis. I help students learn that that studying music theory is not just about notes on a page—it’s a lens through which students can engage critically and creatively with the world around them.

I've earned a PhD in Music Theory from McGill University in Montreal, and I'm comfortable teaching any level of music theory from reading music to graduate-level preparation. I'm also qualified to teach ear training, sight singing, flute, or piano. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to set up a lesson!
