For the past three years our school has adopted a content specialist model. I teach science to all students in my grade. I teach writing and social studies to my homeroom. Our team collaborates on group projects and social emotional learning opportunities for our students. I have a bachelors degree in communications and a masters degree in education.
I have worked with the common core since its inception and am comfortable with the format and rigor of the standards.
I am the science content specialist for our grade and have worked with the next generation science standards since our district adopted them five years ago.

I am certified in special education grades 1 -6, as well as grades 7 - 12, in addition to being a highly qualified elementary educator.
