Hi. My name is John Emanuel and I am a retired math teacher / actuarial consultant. Since retiring from a large accounting firm I have dedicated my life to helping serve my NY and RI communities with the highest quality math teaching and tutoring I can. I have returned to my earlier roots as a Math Department Chair in an inner city all girls high school and most recently worked at Sophia Academy in Providence. When students seek out a tutor its most likely they are struggling with homework and assessments. I dedicate my time to listening and understanding your problems and working through those problems while at the same time providing you the necessary background and skills that may have led to those issues. I encourage my students to embrace and learn from mistakes as we look over assignments and assessments.
Since I am retired, I am flexible in my scheduling so as to meet the busy student’s available time.
The results are usually both enhanced understanding and better grades.
