I am in my 8th year of teaching science and providing private and group tutoring at North Kingstown high school. Before my current job, I was a teaching assistant at Boston College as part of its biology PhD program for 5 years and a student teacher through the Brown University MAT program for teaching grades 7-12 science for 2 semesters. My first job was being an assistant teacher at a daycare/preschool, where I cared for and taught infants-4 year-olds.

I enjoy many aspects of my job, but helping students succeed now and in the future has always been the top reason for being in this profession. Every day, I make a difference in the classroom, and that helps me continue on this rewarding, but sometimes challenging, path as a teacher.
I know how to do school, and I can make it easy for students who are struggling. I teach grade-level (aka "college-prep" or "CP") classes, which always have a wide range of student needs. I have, year after year, been able to reach those students who need it the most, including through COVID. Like I tell my own students each class, please reach out if you need any help. I would be happy to provide that for you.
