Hello! My name is Nami and I am a young professional based in Providence. I am experienced in tutoring all ages in various topics! In terms of tutoring I make the student the star. I am helping with their work as an advisor and collaborator and the outcome will be from their own hard work. After our sessions, they will take pride in their own work!
With my BS, I know my way around science. I can help the student on working through difficult concepts and answer questions they might not otherwise be able to ask during class. I am a lover and learner of the sciences and want to help the student not only excel, but become excited about science. By the end of our time together, the student will have a toolkit to work through difficult scientific topics and a newfound love for the science wonder all around us.
I have 5 years teaching art to kids aged between 6 and 17. At my former art studio I created lesson plans and created ways to nuture the creative spirit! I make art regularly in my own life and have a piece in an exhibit as well as multiple commissions. I love art and want to help nuture young artists!
I am half-Japanese and have been speaking Japanese all of my life. I have formal schooling from Saturday school to college level courses. Most importantly, I have received a 5 on the AP exam and have N2 certification from the Japanese Language Proficiency Test.
