Hi, I'm Natalia! I graduated from RIC in 2014 with a B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in Special Education (Mild / Moderate Disabilities, K-8). Following graduation, I was a long term substitute for a year and a half before becoming a full time Special Educator in 2016. I work primarily one on one and in small groups providing special education services in a variety of formats and topics - including ELA, and social/emotional development. I have a strong background working with students with varying disabilities and can adapt my teaching style depending on the needs, progress, and preferences of the student.
I'm well versed in Common Core State Standards and use many resources to help plan my lessons. I like to plan interesting, highly motivating lessons for students in which the student is engaged in a variety of learning activities to broaden their knowledge base and show progress.
I have experience using Common Core standards to teach for over 4 years.
I have experience teaching students of all ages in elementary reading including vocabulary, grammar, and reading skills as well as writing.
Reach out via messaging to learn more about me and my teaching/tutoring. I look forward to hearing from you and hearing about your needs!
