Hello! I'm Danielle Lincoln. It's been a while since I last tutored because I was busy with getting my Ph.D. and then with my career of teaching undergraduate chemistry. I received my BA in 2012 and my Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2017. Since then, I have been teaching General Chemistry at Maryville College in Maryville, TN. I have recently moved to the RI area and am excited to dip my toes back into tutoring.

I have taught General Chemistry at the undergraduate level, both in lectures and in labs, for eight and a half years. Prior to that, I was a TA for General Chemistry while in graduate school. My teaching style focuses on explanations of the material mixed with copious example problems. Most chemistry problems can be approached in an algorithmic manner, and learning those basic algorithms will allow you to tackle even advanced subjects if you know their ins and outs. I like to use analogies and will switch up my explanations if a given approach isn't working. If you need a general or AP chemistry tutor, I can give you the help you need.

I also have strong backgrounds in math (especially algebra and calculus) and more advanced chemistry topics (like organic chemistry or analytical chemistry), as well as tangential subjects like biology. While these are not my main focus, I am capable and competent at tutoring these subjects.
