My journey as an educator began in 2019, when I desired to obtain my teaching certification. During that time, in 2021, the Student Athlete Learning Center was created. Driven by a desire to bridge the gap between academic success and extracurricular dedication, the goal was to provide a deeper learning experience for all students. The initiative of the learning center is specifically designed to help student-athletes balance their rigorous schedules while maintaining their GPAs and excelling in their coursework. While I hold a formal teaching certification for grades 7 through 12, my practical experience spans a much broader range, including foundational work with preschool children all the way up to graduating high school seniors. This diversity in age groups has allowed me to develop a versatile pedagogical toolkit, ensuring that I can adapt my language and instructional complexity to meet any student's developmental stage.
Throughout my years of teaching, I have worked in a variety of educational contexts, ranging from large-scale classroom management to intimate, personalized instruction. I am equally comfortable leading a group of 24 students as I am providing one-on-one mentorship. My instructional approach is rooted in the belief that every student possesses a unique learning style; therefore, I utilize a blend of scaffolded support and inquiry-based learning. By breaking down complex concepts into smaller, manageable milestones, I help students build the confidence necessary to tackle challenging material independently. Whether I am working with a small group or a single individual, my goal remains the same: to foster an environment where academic excellence is not just a requirement, but a reachable reality.
