She is intricately Knowledgeable of both language functions and language structures for written and oral communication. Couldn't ask for a better instructor
Extremely knowledgeable and personable, Mayra consistently provides lessons that leave me feeling more confident in my Spanish abilities. She is great with providing concrete examples, and often supplements the learning with unique information from her region / culture that you couldn't get from a non-native speaker. She comes well prepared, but is also very accommodating and willing to switch gears if there are particular topics you want to tackle on a given day. My girlfriend and I have been learning with her for a while, and she handles our joint sessions with ease, making each of us feel fully attended to. She is a pleasure to learn from, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to learn Spanish!

Good for advanced speakers too!
She is great for advanced students too. She has an amazingly likeable personality. My needs are not typical given that my level of Spanish is closer to near native. It has been hard for me to find a tutor who was able to work with me to help me identify my speaking errors and correct them. She has no fear of telling me, "you said ____, you must say it this way". In the past I was told, "your Spanish is fine your erros are few", but NO ONE took the time to tell me what they are so that I can work on them. Mayra has changed all of that. I am confident this is going to go very well!!
