Hello! My name is Tania, and I am a bilingual medical student with a strong passion for science, education, and mentorship. I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Microbiology and later completed a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences before continuing into medical school. Throughout my academic journey, I have worked in microbiology laboratories within the pharmaceutical industry, participated in clinical and psychosocial research projects, and presented scientific work at academic conferences. These experiences strengthened both my scientific background and my ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and approachable way.
During my Master’s degree and first year of medical school, I provided anatomy tutoring in the anatomy laboratory, helping students understand difficult concepts through visual explanations and active learning. Since 2025, I have also worked with high school students through the Health Career Collaborative Academy (HCCA), where I provide science tutoring and mentorship to encourage students to pursue careers in science and healthcare. These experiences motivated me to continue supporting and inspiring future generations of students while helping them build confidence in their academic abilities.
As a student myself, I understand how overwhelming subjects like anatomy, biology, microbiology, and physiology can sometimes feel. My tutoring approach focuses on adapting explanations to each student’s learning style, simplifying difficult topics, and creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I am fluent in both English and Spanish and enjoy helping bilingual students feel confident in their learning process. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to motivate them to believe in their potential and develop a genuine appreciation for learning.
