I am currently an undergraduate student majoring in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez, where I have developed a strong foundation in mathematics, logical reasoning, and problem-solving. My academic background allows me to confidently tutor subjects ranging from basic arithmetic and pre-algebra to algebra, geometry, trigonometry, introductory calculus, and foundational programming concepts. I am fluent in both English and Spanish, which allows me to adapt my instruction to the language needs of students and families and ensure clear understanding at every level.

I have four years of experience providing one-on-one tutoring and academic support in both volunteer and independent settings. I have worked with students from preschool through high school, tailoring my approach based on age, learning style, and academic goals. With younger learners, I focus on patience, repetition, and building confidence through encouragement and simple explanations. With older students, I emphasize conceptual understanding, step-by-step problem solving, and study strategies that help them become more independent. I have supported students with homework, test preparation, foundational skill-building, and organization.

My tutoring experience has primarily been in individualized, one-on-one environments, which has allowed me to adapt quickly to each student’s needs and pace. I strive to create a supportive, judgment-free learning space where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to improve academic performance, but also to help students build confidence and develop the skills they need to succeed long-term.
