Hi, I’m Daniela! I’m studying Public Relations and Advertising at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras, with a minor in Business Communications. I’m a proud alumni of the Disney College Program. I’m fluent in both English and Spanish, so I can tutor in either language based on what feels best for you.

Over the past three years working as a Student Peer Counselor at UPRRP, I’ve discovered how uniquely each student learns. During this time, I’ve had the pleasure of guiding more than a hundred first-year students through their academic challenges, creating engaging workshops to boost understanding, and offering personalized support in one-on-one sessions that have been well-received with a 90% satisfaction rate. I always approach each student with patience and care, meeting them where they are instead of sticking rigidly to one method. Whether you’re finding it tough to improve your academic writing, preparing a college application essay, or working through a communications class, I tailor my support to meet your specific needs.

Outside of UPR, I work professionally as a Junior Brand Strategist at a digital marketing agency, where I turn complex ideas into clear, compelling writing every day. This real-world experience makes me especially effective at helping students strengthen their writing, whether for academic assignments or college applications. I have worked with high school seniors and first-year university students in both group and one-on-one settings.

Feel free to reach out, whether is to help you reach your student's goals, or share some Disney's inside scoop!

Career Development

Career Development

Junior Brand Strategist at a digital marketing agency and a dedicated Public Relations and Advertising student, I understand what employers in communications, marketing, and PR are actually looking for, because I'm actively working in the field while building my own professional path toward law school and graduate programs. I have helped students navigate university life, set academic and professional goals, and develop the communication skills needed to succeed in interviews and professional settings through my three years as a Student Peer Counselor at the University of Puerto Rico. My experience includes resume and personal statement writing, LinkedIn profile development, interview preparation, and crafting a professional narrative that stands out. Whether you are entering the workforce for the first time, pivoting to a new field, applying to graduate programs, or simply trying to communicate your value more confidently, I can help you build an authentic, tailored strategy for where you want to go.
College Counseling

College Counseling

As a Public Relations student at the University of Puerto Rico, currently navigating the law school application process myself, I bring a uniquely current and personal perspective to college counseling. I understand firsthand what it takes to craft a compelling personal statement, research programs strategically, and present a competitive application, including how to leverage scholarships, fee waivers, and dual-degree opportunities. I have supported hundreds of first-year students through academic and personal transitions in my role as a Student Peer Counselor at UPR, helping them navigate university life, set goals, and effectively communicate their strengths. This experience, combined with my professional background in communications and brand strategy, makes me especially effective at helping students find and articulate their unique voice in application essays. Whether you are applying to undergraduate programs, graduate school, or law school from Puerto Rico or anywhere in the US, I can help you build a strategy, polish your essays, and approach the process with confidence.
Creative Writing

Creative Writing

As a Public Relations and Advertising student with a background in professional copywriting, I’ve spent the past few years transforming complex ideas into clear, engaging stories: both in academic settings and real-world projects. At my digital marketing agency, I craft briefs, one-pagers, and campaign narratives every day, which keeps me grounded in what truly connects with an audience. At the University of Puerto Rico, I’ve had the pleasure of helping hundreds of students find their own voice through workshops, personalized coaching, and exercises that nurture both structure and creativity. I understand that creative writing can sometimes feel daunting, and I approach each session with patience and warmth, guiding students to discover their unique style rather than enforcing a strict formula. Whether you're working on a short story, a personal essay, a college application, or simply aiming to become a more confident and expressive writer, in English or Spanish, I’ll meet you where you’re at and support you in bringing your ideas to life.
Marketing

Marketing

I am a Junior Brand Strategist at a digital marketing agency and a Public Relations and Advertising student at the University of Puerto Rico. I work daily on real campaigns (developing brand strategy, writing copy, managing client communications, and analyzing performance), which means I can connect marketing theory directly to how it works in practice. My academic background covers the full spectrum of marketing and communications, including integrated marketing communications (IMC), media planning and buying, advertising strategy, consumer behavior, brand management, and public relations theory and practice. I am familiar with industry-standard textbooks, and I can help students understand and apply these concepts, whether they are preparing for exams, working on campaigns, or building foundational knowledge. Whether you are studying marketing principles, navigating an advertising or PR course, or working on a real campaign for class, I bring both the academic foundation and the professional experience to help you connect the dots and perform with confidence.
Public Speaking

Public Speaking

With over three years of experience as a Student Peer Counselor and Facilitator at the University of Puerto Rico, I've had the pleasure of leading engaging workshops, training lively groups of over 20 students, and having meaningful one-on-one sessions. These experiences have helped me develop clear, confident, and approachable communication skills that students really appreciate, leading to a 90% satisfaction rate. In my professional role as a Junior Brand Strategist, I use these skills every day: presenting ideas, explaining complex concepts to clients, and making sure our messages resonate with diverse audiences. I also gained valuable experience through the Disney College Program, which enhanced my ability to communicate warmly and effectively, even under pressure in fast-paced settings. Whether you're gearing up for a class presentation, a job interview, or simply want to feel more comfortable speaking in front of others, be it in English or Spanish, I’d love to help you organize your thoughts, manage nerves, and speak with confidence.
Spanish

Spanish

I am a native Spanish speaker from Puerto Rico, where Spanish is the primary language of daily life, education, and culture. I completed my entire K-12 education in Spanish and continue to use it professionally and academically alongside English at the university level. At my digital marketing agency, I regularly produce bilingual content, ensuring accuracy, tone, and cultural relevance in both languages. As a Student Peer Counselor at the University of Puerto Rico for over three years, I have guided students through academic challenges in both Spanish and English, adapting my communication style to what works best for each individual. My fluency is not just conversational: it is academic, professional, and culturally grounded, which makes me especially effective at helping students at any level build real, lasting confidence in the language.
