With FNPs, I teach all content including pharmacology, test strategies, study skills, and mood management.
I have an MS in nursing from Penn State and an MEd with a minor in Adult and Distance Education. I also have an MS in Anesthesia from LaRoche College. While I was in nursing school I taught CPR, EMTs and Paramedics for the PA Dept of Health. After being an ICU nurse for 5 years, I got into anesthesia school. During 14 years of being a CRNA I taught all of the SRNAs, usually 4 a semester. Nearly all of my students were college level or adult learners. I tutored for Varsity Tutors for 2 years-teaching NCLEX and NEXGEN. Then I worked for myself for 4 years working mostly on NEXGEN.
My teaching style is varied. I adapt it to the student. Some like explaining, some like questions, some just need to get confidence. I do them all. I teach each student as an individual and foster diversity and inclusion. You will always get my authentic self. I like to help people reach their goals and I really enjoy teaching.

Approved Subjects

Anatomy

Anatomy

My years in the OR taught me a lot about anatomy. It is one of my favorite things about nursing. Knowing anatomy and physiology is the basis of knowing nursing.
NCLEX

NCLEX

I really like the new test. All of my students pass in one or two tries unless they speak English as a second language. That seems to make it harder. About 25% of my students have been ESL, so I have a lot of experience with this situation.
Nursing

Nursing

Taught in college and for the Pennsylvania Department of Health for 15 years. Was a Masters prepared RN and Anesthetist for 17 years. Have tutored Nurse Practitioners and NCLEX for 8 years. I enjoy teaching and helping others reach their dreams.
Pharmacology

Pharmacology

In nursing school, I took pharmacology by examination and got an A in one month. In CRNA school, I learned all the speciality medìcations that we used over two years and got an A. I developed a type of drug card that helps you understand instead of just having to memorize. And to learn each drug category, not just learning one med at a time. Pharm is hard for most students. I can help You.
Physiology

Physiology

I always throw in appropriate Physiology, Patho, Anatomy, and Pharmacology into everything I teach. That gives students a well-rounded understanding. Anatomy and physiology are the main bases of nursing. I can also teach them separately.

Nursing Made Simple , Clear • Supportive • Effective

One of the best tutors I’ve worked with. Her teaching style is very clear, patient, and detailed, and she makes difficult nursing concepts feel manageable. You can tell she genuinely cares about her students’ success. I left the session feeling more confident and motivated. Definitely worth it.
