I am a retired Assistant Superintendent with over 30 years of experience in education, and I’ve never lost my passion for working directly with students. My career began as a high school English teacher for grades 7–12, and over the years I also served as a principal and district leader. Along the way, I earned a B.S. in Education, an M.Ed. in Teaching and Curriculum Instruction from Penn State, Principal Certification from York College, and advanced Superintendent coursework from Capella University. I also hold certification in English Secondary Education (K–12) and a Certificate in Neurodivergent Instructional Strategies, which has equipped me to effectively support students with ADHD and other unique learning needs.
For the past 11 years, I’ve continued to teach as an Adjunct English Professor, helping college students grow as writers and critical thinkers. At the same time, I’ve found great joy in tutoring students one-on-one. I specialize in math from elementary through Algebra 1, as well as SAT Reading and Math prep. My tutoring approach combines patience, clear explanations, and proven strategies tailored to each student’s learning style. I work with students of all ages, helping them build strong foundations, tackle challenging concepts, and gain confidence in their abilities.
I love working with students who think differently, ask big questions, or need a little extra encouragement to discover their strengths. Over the years, I’ve tutored children, teens, and young adults in classroom, small group, and one-on-one settings. What excites me most about tutoring is seeing students realize that they are capable of more than they imagined—whether that’s raising a test score, mastering a tough math concept, or feeling ready to take on college-level work. My goal is to meet students where they are, make learning less stressful, and help them achieve success step by step.
