Hello, my name is Mr. Donald G., and I taught in the Baltimore City Public School system for over 30 years. I earned my history and education degree from Winthrop University and hold multiple master's degrees from Grand Canyon, Towson, Bowie State, and Walden universities.
During my career, I completed over 500 hours of professional development and hold a Maryland State teaching license as an Advanced Professional. I’ve received awards such as nominations for Disney's Teacher of the Year and recognition in "Who's Who in Teaching," as well as multiple Teacher of the Month awards in Baltimore.
I began my teaching journey as a substitute teacher in 1993 in Anne Arundel County and later worked in the Baltimore City School District until my retirement in 2024. My experience includes teaching various subjects, primarily history, as well as Geography, Economics, Psychology, and standardized test preparation.
I also mentored new teachers, created programs to assist students, and served on committees for student achievement. I believe every student learns differently, and it's essential for educators to adapt their teaching styles to meet individual needs. Even in retirement, I remain dedicated to supporting students in their learning journeys.
